I purchased two lights: one for our upstairs hallway and one for the stairway. They are a lifesaver for when we have to go downstairs for the nighttime feedings with our 5 month old. Also great for our 3 year old when he wakes in the morning and it is still dark outside. I just ordered a third for the middle of the stairway. The one on our landing does not activate the sensor when walking up the stairs. Overall, a great idea especially since there is no need for an outlet.

This is the best! I got this because I needed to be able to check on my daughter at night without waking her up. I had a touch light but the sound of the click when you turned it on made her stir and the hall light was so bright it disturbed her. I got this and mounted it in the hall outside of her bedroom door and I love it. I can walk up to her door and it comes on and gives me just enough light to see her without waking her up! It will also be great when she's old enough to go the bathroom on her own or needs to come get us in the middle of the night.

This product was great for us. We have no outlets in our upstairs hallway. These were the only battery operated motion sensor light I could find. They come on as soon as there is movement. This works great for our 3 year old to go potty by herself in the middle of the night. Obviously you need to have a sturdy gate at the top of the steps.

The sensor works great at night time, granted sometimes the light goes off with the slighest movement. Works perfect at night to check on our son! I love that the light is yellow instead of white, great product. I will def. get more when we move into a bigger place :)

This light is great. My kids are afraid to get up at night to use the bathroom. Most standard nightlights are good for lighting the path but they stay on all night and keep the kids awake.
This smart light is great because it can be used as a regular night light (staying on) or a motion-detected light. When my kids sit up in bed (after a bad dream) or get up (for a bathroom break) it lights their path. Once they are back in bed, it automatically shuts back off. It has done wonders for my older children and I will soon be buying another for my younger child.

The idea is great. I have a set of stairs that i as an adult have fallen down twice already. so i wanted something to light the stairs without an outlet or wires. I thought this was the answer. In one sense it still is. The light has the option to switch on, switch on with sensor and of course off. The sensor option on the two i ordered no longer work. they will flicker. It will go off, then dim as it's supposed to but then immediately goes back on without anything to set it off. I'll still use it as the always on option for th night time, it's just a shame it doesn't want to work as described. When the first one started i asked for a replacement and they did replace it. I haven't tried the 1st replacement yet and i may not even ask for a replacement for the second malfunction.

This is an excellent idea. It is super duper for children who are afraid of the dark because it provides light instantaneously! It also is great for larger rooms as you can pass in front of it from over 12ft away and it will detect your presence and turn on.
Great investment because of its multiple uses...can be used in other areas where you may need light right away but dont have an outlet.

I use this in my 16 month old's room when I put her to bed. Several nights the light starts to go out and then it turns back on. It continues like this until I shut it off. There can not be anything around it that could set it off and it can't be aimed toward your child if they move around when they are trying to get to sleep. When it works correctly I love it because I can just walk into the room and I have a very soft light to be able to make sure she's ok.

I purchased two of these smart lights for the staircase leading up to my kids' room. I love that the light in them is yellow, instead of white.

The sensor on them works great in the dark - they go on immediately upon the slightest movement within their range. However, they also turn on when we have the lights on in the staircase, which is a little annoying - not to mention a needless drain on the batteries.

Overall, I'm happy with this product.

I do not have any outlets in my hallway upstairs & these are perfect for my son to get to the bathroom without destroying my walls.
