I use the hearth gate to surround our wood burning stove. Its heat resistant so little hands won't get burned. My kids can play in the living room and I don't have to worry about somebody touching the stove. The panels easily rotate to fit around anything. Well worth the money.

This gate is perfect. We use it to protect our daughter from our wood stoves. It was easy to install - you can make it fit any layout. It is easy to use, sturdy, and attractive. We have gotten several comments on the gates from guests and have recommended it to all.

This is the most wonderful gate. The door is easy to use 1 handed and is so sturdy. Rather than using it around a hearth, we're using it at the top of our stairs (we have an open landing and our railings are thin metal) and the only downside to the gate is that the opening is a bit small and you have to step over the bar under the gate (the opening part) so that's a bit tricky when you are carrying a baby and trying to start down the stairs.

We attached it to the stair rails with velcro (we're renting) and it's holding very steady. You could certainly use a more permanent attachment or even zip ties if you wanted to. Our 4 1/2 year old can't squeeze hard enough to open the gate, so that's a nice safety feature too.

I was looking for something to keep my little guy out of our entertainment center. This works perfectly. I wasn't sure it would work, but I couldn't be happier with it. It looks good and my little guy goes up to it, stands up, and watches TV.

this is a good product but if you have molding on your walls its a little tricky to secure to the wall. Luckily, we had extra molding that we were able to anchor to the wall and then attach the gate to that and it matched so it didn't look bad at all. The little door is convenient too. Didn't really like the price but it was needed for my 1 year old and couldn't find another one for less.

This great works beautifully and looks nice too, but it is a little expensive. I use it and I don't plan on returning it, so I guess it is worth the money.

I bought two of these gates and they are attractive and built well (at least so far that I can tell). They are tall and sturdy so they would work well for dogs or children. Buying two allowed me to interchange pieces if I needed a much larger or a smaller gated area. I have one sectioning off my front door to keep babies away from the door and one that closes off my kitchen in an large open space. I recommend this gate if you need something more than just a "door gate."

I love the appearance and the installation was easy. My 6 year old has a difficult time opening the gate. You need to apply significant pressure to the handle. Other than that... perfect!

We got the gate to put around a woodstove in a small cabin and it works great for that and is nice looking. I only wish it was easier to take in and out so others would not have to have it when they visit.
