My son hates mittens and these are easy to get on. They are soft and warm. Being a determined little guy he can get them off, but I doubt there are any that would stay on. They are the best mittens I have found for little ones.

These are very nice mittens. Right now, the most important feature for use with my 11 month-old is that the velcro tab keeps them on (and her hands stay warm!).

My 18 month old hated mittens till he got these as an early Christmas present (since snow came sooner this year). Now he realizes they keep his hands warm and snow is fun!

My almost 2 year old fights getting his snow clothes on. I was amazed that he didn't pull these off!! The grippy palm material is perfect, as are the velcro wrist tabs. A definite must!

These mittens are practical for toddlers getting outside in the cold - relatively easy to get on and off. They are soft, seem to keep my daughter's hands pretty warm, and she can easily pick things up with them on. My complaint is that one of the seams ripped after the very first use - will be easy to sew up, but rather not have to so soon.

In general this is a good all-purpose mitten. I thought the velcro closure was an 'open' part of the mitten, meaning I could almost just lay my son's hand in it and then velcro the mitten around it. I'd seen that design before on an other tiny mitt and it works great! Anyway, this is more like a pleat/gusset type closure so it still opens the mitten up wider so you can get your little one's hand in there, just not quite wide enough. It's a bit tricky and I think the more open gusset, or 'split' in the fabric would make it MUCH easier to put on.
My son fit the perfect description for the size I ordered but it is rather large on him! I understand room for growth but it's enough room that it makes it hard for him to grab things through the bulkiness of the extra room in the mitten. That said, it is NICE he can still grab things. I love that this tiny mitten has a thumb!! Why is that so hard to find?! It upset me to see him in thumbless mittens and try to pick things up, then look at me all confused!
I feel the fleece could stand to be a bit thicker. Even my all-purpose mittens are thicker fleece than this one. We live in VT and need even the all-purp mitten so be warmer, but not as bulky as the other style this same company makes.
Like the little gripper on the palm too. Helps it be more water-resistant when he's picking up snow, wet twigs, etc. The snaps, to keep the mittens together, are very helpful indeed. I just snap them together and hang them on a hook by the front door, for easy storage (can dry out too) and easy access.
Good pricing too, for the product.

These mittens are great! When I strap them to her jacket, my one year-old can't get them off! They are easy to put on, and don't seem to be too restricting...and definitely a decent price!

I like the design of these mittens- open to put hand in, velcro to keep hand in. I wish they opened a little wider to get my toddler's thumb in place, but then they probably wouldn't stay on as well. I'm not sure how warm they are since they are only one layer of fleece, but I think that they are good enough for mild winter weather.

I have 8 month old twins and they really need mittens with no thumbs and not gloves. It's impossible to get their hand in right. One Step should sell this same product but in a mitten form.

I bought the mittens and matching hat. They are soft and easy to put on, but I haven't yet convinced my toddler to wear them--perhaps when it gets really cold this will be easier to do. At one point I bought some thick heavy-duty mittens from another retailer, and they were warm but he couldn't use his hands in them, so what's the point? These mittens are soft and flexible, so he can play in them, and if they get wet they will dry easily.
