Inspite of the website saying they run larger buy a size smaller I did and they were still on the large side. I kept the larger ones for next year.

This is cute. I ordered a size smaller .. and the underwear part on the inside makes the shorts not able to pull up ... so this was a bad fit all together. They need to work out the design and make it that the parents can actually use the tie in the front.

Good thought - design needs work...

I ordered according to my daughter's wieght, and it was way too big. Even the size smaller was too big, so I had to take in the elastic band myself since it is not adjustable. It just seemed easier than ordering yet again.

Measure your child's waist before ordering this product. My daughter is on the upper end of the height/weight range for the "24 month" size, but that size just fell off of her and the waist on these shorts is not adjustable. I returned those and ordered the 18 month size. They fit OK until she got in the water. The built in liner just held the water and that eventually pulled them off of her. I cut out the liner and now they are OK. The shorts are really very cute and the fabric is nice, so I'm disappointed they don't have an adjustable waist!

Bella enjoys pulling up her shorts herself and it's a very pretty pattern. She's fair skinned so I feel better when she wears the sun smarties shorts outside.
