My son is 6. We had the yellow tray that attatches to the footrest (highly recommend that!) but he has outgrown that but I still needed something for when we ate "on the run". You can remove that white piece which allows the food to be more "cradled" and avoids sliding off onto the floor. The drink holder isn't deep enough to set your drink in while you are driving but if you are parked it is fine. He just uses the pull down arm rest in the car which has a drink holder if we are mobile. It is perfect for the older child and even adults (I've used it myself). Acts like a TV tray on the go.

I want to buy this item for my 20 months old to keep him busy during ride but didn't realize it doesn't have anything to strap to the car seat. I looks like it can only be used when the kids are old enough to hold the tray themselves. So i haven't used it yet.

took it on a long trip, my 3 year old couldn't get the storage area open well and it didn't hold much at all - picture is misleading.

My daughter just turned 2 and she loves her 2 in 1 dream desk. It is very easy to use and the white board pulls out to store crayons and paper in. She does like to scribble on the white board but it's very easy to clean of. We haven't used the pillow but it does rest better on her legs and fit well into her car seat. I highly recommend

I ordered two of these for a recent road trip. They were perfect for my kids. They used them as intended, and then as pillows (on the soft side) for a nap in the car. [...] I will order from the company again.
