This is a very nice looking sturdy baby gate. We have it installed in the front entrance hallway to our house and it looks attractive. The gate has a heavy, quality feel to it. The only thing to note is that the picture makes it look like it is black but it is more of a dark brown.

This is an easy to install, stylish, and easy to use gate. Once removed, you'd never know it was there since it pressure fits between door openings.

this is used at the top of the stairs that lead down to the front door. Keeps the toddler and the dog away from the door/steps. The extra height is very useful-and it looks better than the average gate. The auto close mechanism doesn't last very long and you have to be sure it is closed all the way.

The gate works great, but is hard for my 5 year-old nephews to figure out. Also hard to open with one hand. It looks wonderful at the top of my staircase and so far functions well.

Very nice quality gate. We installed it at the top of a long steep staircase in a second home with stair and loft railings that are not to code. Fortunately the railing edge was just barely high enough to install the gate 34.5 inches. If you have a shorter railing this gate may not work for you.

My husband spent about an hour installing it without any problems what-so-ever. (He's pretty handy and smart though.)

At the top of steep stairs it can be a little tricky to open and walk through if you are carrying something large like a laundry basket or a toddler. The opening is wide enough to walk through for average sized people, but I wouldn't recommend this product for people who are above average in size especially width if installing at the top of stairs (Hips may bump into the hinge or latch area).

I like that it swings gently shut behind you and that the latch is just challenging enough to deter my 2 year old, while being easy enough to open one handed for adults.

Much higher quality than other gates I've owned and can be installed with a pressure mount in flat areas or hardware for use on stairs.

We bought this because it was stylish and hoped to use it at the top of our stairs. Unfortunately it is not best at the top of the stairs. As first time parents we did not know any better. We decided to keep it and use it for our office and it works easy and nice. Bought a Kidco G20 black for the top of the stairs.

very stylish and sturdy. I feel safe and secure that my grandchildren are safe from the stairs when they are visiting. and it's so pretty we leave it up at all times

Love the gate. Looks good, the extra height is great. Only negative-after about 4 mos the auto closure stopped working and it had to be clicked shut by hand.

This gate is a very welcome addition to our home. It was very easy to install in our wider than normal hallway. It is tension mounted very well, which keeps from having to put holes in the walls. It serves a dual purpose for our 1 year old and for our pugs. The gate is also very stylish which compliments our house.

I bought 2 of these gates - one for top and one for bottom of stairs. It is a beautiful gate, but they have plastic hinges which are obviously a weak spot in the design. [...]

I love this gate! However, we bought it because we have thick baseboards in our old house and the gate would adjust to both the width between the walls at the top and the width between the baseboards (about 2 " less.) The latch now cannot be properly adjusted. Either the gate is so tight that I can't get it open, or the gate is loose enough for me AND my 12 month old to open! I called the company and they said this was because the baseboards were so large, and they didn't have a product which would work with large baseboards. So this may be the best product for this space, but I have to watch my baby carefully!

This gate looks nice and is very sturdy but the opening is a bit narrow. We have it at the top of the stairs and again, very sturdy but walking through with a toddler or a laundry basket takes some getting used to. Having said that, I can't seem to find one that is as sturdy, looks as good or functions any better so I guess this is the best choice. [...]

It's the nicest looking (and I'm very picky), tallest one we have found. We're currently using it to keep our small dog contained and suspect it will work just as well for the baby when he's mobile. We're using it with all the extensions and it's very sturdy. Would be nice if we could get extra extension as we have a newer house and most of our hallways are over 48".
