works great - my 4 yr old and 1 1/2 year old can't figure out how to open it and looks nice, however if lock is on you can't come in from the other side either which is a problem on occasions when one parent isn't home yet and can't get in.

The concept for this product is great. Unfortunatley the design makes the product useless. I installed it on the door handle to the basement. The design allows much too much space in the opening - when it is set to the lock position, the door handle can still be pulled down far enough to open the door. It would work perfectly if there was less space in the opening of the "c". I plan to contact the company to see if I can return it without the packaging, which I already threw out.

Look at your door handles and distance between handle and edge of door. Mine didn't work because my handles go to the side like a regular french door handle, but then they curve inward at the end towards the door. I couldn't fit the product over the handle to install it. I could have removed the handle and installed it that way, however there was not enough room on my door, as my handle was too close to the end of the door. It looked like a wonderful product; I only wish it fit my doors.

This works great, the lock is easy for the parents to use. Since the locking mechanism must be pushed in and slid down at the same time, my toddler can't figure it out. It is bigger than I thought it would be, but if it keeps my kid from opening his bedroom door and wandering around at night I could care less!

my girls can get this open half of the time, so it is not bullet proof in preventing access to outside areas.

I installed this correctly and there was just enough room for the door handle to move to open the door. I moved it so that it wouldn't open but instead if you move the door handle up then it would open so it just doesn't work for my door. It was a great idea but the opening should be smaller. Also it ripped all the paint off the door when I removed it.

Solves a really important problem. How to childproof lever handle doors. It is easy to install but a bit tricky to position so it doesn't rub on the door frame.

This is a very useful product that we use to prevent our 2-year old from getting into the kitchen pantry. It's very easy to install and is extremely easy to install; just make sure everything's lined up before pressing on the adhesive. It does its job well.

The pros: Lock was easy to install with the attached adhesive and stays in place. Lock is also easy to use. The cons: This lock is not unobtrusive like the description says. The lock cuts down the length of the door handle making it harder to grab. I installed one of these locks on a double door, and after seeing that it kept the doors from closing properly, I took the lock off. It tore the paint off my door around the handle even after having it on less than five minutes.

This installs very easily, but unfortunately only works on one side of the door. This is because of the trim in the middle of the door jam gets in its way on installation. Because of this, it only works on the side of the door where the door opens which is useless in most cases. For example, if you want to use it to lock your child out of going in to a room, it wont work (bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.). This is because the door opens in to the room typically.

I found it only useful on closets that have swinging doors that open outward. Also, maybe a door that goes to the garage or outside... but forget about bathroom and bedrooms.

Product was easy to install and serves its purpose well. The only con is, it is a bit too big and scratches the jamb of the door when opening and closing.

This definitely worked for us- my 2 year old can no longer open our front door. It was easy to install as well. The only down side is that it adheres by sticking to the door, so when we don't need it any longer, it will probably be a bit messy to clean up the door.
