I own two of these for my 3 year old and 20 month old little boys. The one bad thing I've found is that they are difficult to install, depending on your car model. I also own a Britax Boulevard which has been easy to install regardless of the car. The Frontier is very easy to install in my husband's Acura TSX but I had some trouble putting them into the backseat on my VW Routan. That said, I will only buy Britax car seats. I don't ever expect to be in a car accident but if there is a chance, I only want the safest car seat I can find!

My daughter was starting to out grow her Boulevard and we needed a booster style seat with a 5 point harness. It seems that this is the safest model for 2 year olds out there and my wife and I like Britax. Unfortunately I have had nothing but problems putting this seat into our car. Even with deconstructing the treasure map instructions it takes about 25 minutes or more to put this seat in our car. If it weren't for the safety features I would have taken this thing back to the store. First off the strap system is too short and on other Britax models, like our Boulevard, it was longer and takes about 2 minutes to strap in. I don't know why Britax decided to make the harness system shorter but it makes it more difficult and time consuming. Next is the cup holders, (a great idea as my daughter needs a place for her cup and crackers) they don't come out easily and do not go in easily. It feels like the cup holders are going to break every time I have to pull them out or put them in. So now only one stays out for convenience. It baffles me that the other parents love this thing because even the fabric gets ruined by velcro shoes. It is not easy to clean due to the fact that it is a pain to get out of the car and Britax has never made their slip off covers easy to get off for cleaning. Like I said the best parts about this seat is the safety and how comfortable my daughter is in it. Other than that I will not be buying another one for our SUV.

I love this carseat. We bought it for my son when he turened 5 because we needed his roundabout for his brother. He has plenty of room to grow in it. The only thing I wish it that they had made the staps a little thicker like the roundabout so they wouldn't twist so much. This carseat is definetly worth the extra money.

I bought this seat for my 5.5y/o because I wasn't ready to put her into a booster seat yet. I chose the Frontier over the Nautilus because; my daughter sleeps more comfortably in the Frontier, it turns into a better booster seat (currently tallest on the market) and it has a 9 year life span which is awsome because I have a 3y/o who will be using it. The Frontier is very easy to adjust with its no rethread harness, offers lots of room in the shoulder & crotch area, has great leg support and has tall harness slots/80lb.harness. The Frontier can be difficult to install in some vehicles, but there is plenty of help with that online. The Frontier is pricey but honestly worth every penny.
