the lines are not clear when you draw on it. Also, they fade very quickly. I would look for a different one.
It's a good design with the cushioned underside to use on your lap, but the the writing disappears almost instantly without even using the "eraser". You are better off just buying a magna doodle!
My little friend(age 18 months) saw my granddaughter's(age 7) older girl's version of this, and would always sneak to try to use it. So when I saw this toy I was excited to get it for Cecilia. Of course she knew just how to use it! She absolutely loves the bright colors. She also loves to be able to draw(scribble) and draw again and again. It's so much better than all the paper she was going through before. I love the soft side to sit on her little lap.
This product did not work. The writing erased almost immediately after drawing.
I read all of the reviews and I was expecting this product to be really great, but I was a bit disappointed. My main issue is that right after you draw or use one of the stamps, it fades away. I thought it would hold up better. Other than that, it's a nice toy for my son.
18 month old is really enjoying this as a car seat toy. She loves to scribble and it is a clean, safe way for her to be occupied in the car when she is sick of books and you don't want to just feed them all the time.My only con is that you have to keep track of the magnet animals when they are thrown around.
We gave this product to our son for Christmas. After just two weeks of use we are already having problems with this toy. When you write on the magnetic board the words/drawings erase as you are writing. We are so sad because this was one of our son's favorite toys he received this Christmas. Our little boy is VERY active and we were thrilled that this toy held his attention for long periods of time. This would be the perfect toy if it could last longer than 2 weeks.
HORRIBLE product!!!!My daughter received this as a christmas gift...The Drawing FADES INSTANTLY!!!...We have Couple of the DOODLE brand that work excellent...and have lasted for years...your best bet ... buy another brand..the concept is great...great for travel etc...this Product...is a COMPLETE waste of money...cant return...packaging opened....Bummer!!!!!!!!!
I got two of these for my two year old twin boys for Christmas. One of my boys was so in love with it that he didn't want to put it down to open the rest of his gifts. It actually holds their attention! One of my boys enjoys it more than the other but they both play with it a lot. I leave it in their beds at night for some quiet play before they go to sleep. The only con is that the pieces (other than the pen) get lost easily because they don't have a string holding it the way the pen does. Overall, I'm glad that I purchased one for each of my boys.
The drawing is too light. The magnets seem to fall away too quickly from the surface making the image go away as soon as you create it. It does not work as well as most other "magnadoodle" type toys I've used. The stamps are a nice feature though.
I was a little disappointed with this product. It is a great idea and it's very cute with the animals. My son really likes it - but he's not really old enough to understand it's not working like it's supposed to. I was disappointed when I realized that the "screen" doesn't hold a picture well. When my son or I draw on it, the drawing fades away almost immediately. There is almost no need to have the "eraser" bar.
The lines and squiggles fade out pretty fast, which kind of bummed me out at first, but then I realized that my 18 month old could care less. She just enjoys drawing with a "pencil" and using the animal stamps to make the whole thing black (for a minute that is, then it fades out). She doesn't need to use the ladybug "eraser", which is probably a good thing, because it's a bit difficult for her still (even I have a hard time unless I really brace the entire thing). Right now she really gets a kick out of this (she can "draw" over and over and over again), but I can see that in a few months she could be frustrated by it (because the drawing doesn't stick around long enough to really enjoy). However, since this is for kids younger than most crayon sets, it is an excellent first drawing tool and the price wasn't bad for what we got.
The product I received was defective. The magnets are not strong enough to make more than a very dull image and then the image disappears within a matter of seconds. My toddler still loves it. I e-mailed one step and they refunded me my money since they had none in stock to send as a replacement. I have thought about buying another one in stores, but am weary in case mine was not just a fluke.
Anything you put on the "doodleboard" disappears very quickly. You can't even finish a line before the beginning of the line starts to fade.
My son (22 months)received this as a gift from Santa and I am very pleased with it. He is very intersted in drawing, but often eats the crayons, so this is a great alternative. It does not pose a choking hazard and is very nice for a trip in the car. I didnt realize til we recieved it is put out by "Parents" which is encouraging for those that are searhing for tested toys.
