Developed by a pediatrician mom, working with a team of child development experts, and based on scientific research of early brain development
The series includes six DVDs:
Newborn-3 months (15 minutes long) - Features simple square shapes and high-contrast images, along with words with simple vowel and consonant combinations.
3-6 months (16 minutes long) - Adds more shapes and colors, creating more complex patterns, along with news words for expanding verbal skills. Shows images of children's faces, with eye and mouth movement.
6-9 months (17 minutes long) - Now images and objects are shown in 3D (the first two videos utilize two dimensions). The objects are used playfully to introduce the concept of cause and effect. Children are shown playing peek-a-boo, which illustrates object permanence.
9-12 months (15 minutes long) - Using facial movement, music, and narration, this DVD demonstrates the emotions of "happy" and "sad." Kids are introduced to gestures, including clapping, waving, and blowing kisses. Includes video of children playing, stacking blocks and taking objects out of boxes.
12-15 months (17 minutes long) - Introduces more body movements and gestures, plus the new emotions of "surprised" and "silly." Features video of children engaging in imaginative play.
15-18 months (24 minutes long) - The longest and most sophisticated video in the series, this one features more movement, songs, dancing, and action. Introduces the concept of "over" and "under" along with counting skills.
