Comments about Tee-Zed Door Gripper:
My 1 yr old likes to close the door of his bedroom and I wanted to use this to keep the door propped open. It does work in that a gentle nudge won't close the door. BUT, our door leaves a little bit more clearance on the bottom, so with a stronger push, the door can still close. Plus, the little guy even figured out how to slip it out from under the door! If the grippers were bigger, I think this would be great. Other than that, it would be fine if you have a door that just won't stay open or to keep the door from closing if you have an open window. Just not if you have a toddler TRYING to push it closed.
We bought these door stoppers because our toddlers was slamming doors and we were worried about our infant crawler getting his fingers caught. We like these stoppers because they're a little more difficult to get out from under the door than a traditional stopper so we usually catch our toddler if he's trying to take them out.
The cross breeze in my home causes the door to my son's room to slam shut. I tried using a door wedge but it wasn't strong enough. This product is great. The rubber on both ends provides extra strength to the door stop, especially on our hardwood floors. I could not pull or push the door more than an inch.
These are so easy to put under the door- the door barely moves with these secured under the door.
My daughter is very active always into everything. She doesn't even try to touch this door gripper and if she did it would be too hard for her to move. However it's easy for my husband and me to use. She broke our bedroom door twice by swinging on it, this product keeps her from doing that. She can't shut and lock the door or slam it anymore. This is a great door stopper (gripper)!!!!
Works great. Sturdy construction.
I sent this piece of junk right back to One Step Ahead! It didn't hold the doors open. When my Grandson pushed the door the darn thing got stuck underneath the door and I had to pry it out from under it. What a waste of money this was. Don't even bother buying it!
I bought this to keep my one year old out of the bathroom where we keep out litter box, it does the trick very well and my cats can get in and out, but its a pain when an adult needs to use the restroom and they need to remove it the reapply it when finished. i do however really like this item!

Great for doors you dont want to move at all. Cant get blown or pushed shut. Works on carpet, hardwood or tile.
We bought this to keep our cats separated. We have a cat that we're introducing to the home, and the existing cat tries to attack her. We needed a way to let them "see" each other through the door so they get used to each other, but not be able to push open the door. Baby gates didn't work, and regular door stops don't work on our carpet. This door gripper does a great job with this and works very well on our carpet. The bottom of our door is right up against the carpet. The only con is it's kind of hard to place under the door, only because we're having to place it from the outside, in order to leave a crack in the door. So our fingers get a little pinched. I'm sure it's much easier when you're just propping a door open the regular way, not propping it shut!
Keeps my 8 month old sons fingers from being pinched- he loves the hinges- but allows us to keep doors open. Are very baby proof and kind of a pain to take out when you want to shut the door- but I gues that's the trade off for something that keeps baby from shutting the door.
My three year old son has been slamming doors when he gets "mad". On top of being very annoying, his baby sister is crawling around, and it was an accident waiting to happen involving fingers and the hospital. I was at my wit's end, and these were just what the doctor ordered! I was so excited the first time he tried to slam his door and couldn't! He's very smart, but hasn't even tried to remove this. I don't think he would be able to anyway. I would order this again in a second.
I got this after I accidentally left the basement door open and our 9-month-old fell down the stairs. This awesome little contraption works on all surfaces (we have tile) and holds the door in any open position you want (we keep the door ajar for our kitty to get to her liter box). Neither of my boys (other son is 2-1/2 years old)can open or close the door while this is in place. You can't beat the peace of mind for just a couple dollars!
You will love this. Does not harm carpet, wood, or tile floors. Stays in place!!!
This product is useful and does work for a toddler. My son is 14 months old and cannot push the door open with this underneath. That said, I am sure that when he gets a little older, he will be able to move the door, even with this underneath fairly easily. With small effort, I can still open his closet door. I do like it, it does serve it's purpose and does not damage our hardwood floor. I like that it has rubber for safety should my son fall down near it. I would purchase more for other rooms if I had the need.
