We have actually put it together and keep it in our playroom. My children and their friends love playing on the beam and have even come up with lots of creative and fun games to play on and around it. After reading several reviews, we almost didn't buy it because it said it was hard to assembly. We don't agree. Once we move it outside in spring I am sure there will be issue of moving it for mowing but we haven't we gotten there yet. So glad we bought it!

I got this for my very active, outdoorsy grandkids (5 and 7) to play with in their largly empty rumpus room and it was a big hit! My son-in-law had no trouble with assembly, once alerted, and set up a quasi miniature golf course with some of the pieces. Endless fun!

Lots of fun for all my grandchildren (ages 2-5) but much more narrow than we expected. The width is about 1 1/4 inches less than a regulation balance beam and the younger kids do tend to fall off a lot.

This piece is very big and difficult to put together. Once together, difficult to move around. Kids should not be barefooted when playing on this. If they slip and fall, the rough surface of the beam will scrape their skin. Sox a must! It is not something they use over and over again. They get bored easily with it.

We bought this balance beam for our 3 year old. She loves it! Sometimes she needs our help and sometimes she can do it by herself. Best to use on the grass in case of tumbles.

It is bulky and tricky to assemble. We move the balance beam from our grass to our patio each night so that it doesn't ruin our grass. We leave it assembled. It is bulky, but I am 5 ft 2 inches and I can pick it up and move it when needed.

The colorful design helps to reinforce learning colors while balancing.

Pros: Kids have great fun, use it for other play as well as the balance beam. Rain resistant. Sturdy.
Con's: No assembly instructions included, it would help if the pieces were at least numbered.

Hint: We used a rubber mallot to gently get the pieces together, it was easier on the hands.

The balance beam is a great activity for kids. It is somewhat difficult to assemble and not very easy to take apart. All the pieces do not fit together very well. I followed the color photo in the catalog and then the pieces fit together better. You need a lot of patience in assembling and disassembling. The kids love it!

I bought his for my 23 month old sons Halloween party. I had a carnival and a "little gym" set up. I had tunnels, small trampoline, happy bouncing balls and the beam. The kids loved it- but parents have to be around to help them because beam is pretty narrow.

Good for balance and core strength. The seams are slightly off when assembled. Pieces are big enough for feet to not step on the off seams.

I have two sons, ages 5 and 7. So far they have used the configuration balance beam as a balance beam, as two separate "headquarters" for their games (they each sit in one loop of the figure 8 for their own command central), as a track for cars and other toys and to practice jumping. So they've definitely had fun with it. However, it was not easy to assemble. The pieces had to be forced to get the figure 8. It's heavier than it looks, and I'm constantly dragging it around the yard so the grass underneath doesn't die. If it were easier to assemble I would take it apart and store it between playtimes, but since we struggled to assemble it, I hesitate to disassemble. It's big and unwieldy, but they seem to be having fun with it.
