How many times I remember my children cry when the sun hit their eyes when they are in their carseats. This is a must have. Forget the window screens that attach to car windows. Sit back and enjoy the trip. A Grandparent

The entire shade would not stay up. It kept bending backwards. I was very disappointed because I had this rush shipped because we had a long road trip planned and thought it would be great for my 10 month old who hates when the sun is in his eyes. I am returning this item!!!

I bought this shade after changing my son from the infant seat into a toddler seat because he hates the sun in his eyes. I had a fabulous canopy for my daughter when she switched that I also bought from One Step Ahead, but they apparently no longer sell it. Anyways, this canopy is not worth the money, in my opinion. Because of its upward duck-bill shape the sun shoots right under the canopy and into my son's eyes. I've tried readjusting and even turning it upside down, but nothing seems to work. If your only concern is sun coming in from the side, then this is probably perfect, but otherwise I would just keep looking.

works well for infants but it is constricting for toddlers (mine is 3). the shade obstructs her view b/c her head reaches the top of the shade and she has scrunch her neck down to see.

This does block the sunlight but it is very difficult to get it to stay in place. It is very flimsy. I had to use clips to help support it to keep it up around the car seat.

We tried putting shades up on the back and side windows, but the sun was still in our baby's eyes. This is perfect!

We bought this sunshade with hopes that it would cover more of our baby than than the manufacturer's canopy. Unfortunately, this sunshade actually covered less, much less.

This shade is made of a spandex-like material on a coily wire frame. The wire runs along the front of the visor portion and always seems like it would collapse if the whole shade weren't secured to the carseat. This leads me to problem #2: the whole shade doesn't secure to the carseat very well, and of course there are no directions. But ultimately, being that it's the only game in town, I still would recommend it for the sake of your baby's skin!

When my daughter switched from her infant seat (with a nice sun canopy) to her toddler seat, she always got frustrated when the sun was in her eyes or shone in on her, especially through the back window. We tried hats and sunglasses, but she seemed to dislike those even more. When we got this sunshade, she was much happier. It keeps the sun off from almost all angles. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a bit too big for our car and almost hits the roof of the car, which makes seeing out the back a bit more difficult. Overall though, it is a fantastic product, one we had been looking for, for several months and our daughter loves it.

I ordered this to go on my Graco snug ride car seat. It already has a canopy but it doesn't provide enough coverage for the summer months. Unfortunately the sunshade did not offer any more protection, and just made the car seat very bulky. I decided to return it. It may be good if your carseat doesn't come with any sun shade.

The best use for this is while using an infant carrier within a stroller. It truly excels there in shielding from the sun. As a shade in the car, however, it becomes a bit bulky for smaller cars and difficult to adjust while putting the car seat in and taking it out. All in all it is a great product...although I would like to see elastic straps for the method of keeping it in place rather than the ties that seem to be way too long and come untied.
