I just LOVE this lock! It is so easy to use and kids can't reach it! My son has a habit of trying to get into everything possible! This keeps him out of our closets and keeps his little phalanges (fingers) safe and unharmed! I only bought two originally for our downstairs hall closet - I'm back on the web site now purchasing them for all of our upstairs bedrooms. If it keeps him safe, it's well worth the money - after all, it works!

This is a simple effective lock for a bi-fold door but we do not use it. Yes, it kept my toddler out of the closet but this door happens to house supplies that we use frequently. I found that unlocking it every time I needed to get in the door extremely frustrating. Other safety locks, I could use quickly and easily in my home but this one did not become easier with time for me. So for a bi-fold closet that you simply want to keep closed and not use very often, I would say it would be a 5-star application but for a door that needs to be opened and closed many times a day, I would not use it.

Seeing how simple this is, it maybe shouldn't cost as much as it does, but that's my only complaint about the product. It successfully keeps our toddler out of the pantry.

I gagged at the price for what I got but found it to be worth every penny. I may have been able to make my own version, but the material and design fits my doors perfectly and doesn't scratch the paint. The drop-down handles are a must for the vertically challenged. My 2-yr old has tested this product extensively and I have not been disappointed with it.

I bought this for my 2 year old and it also works to keep my dog out of the closet, so it has 2 purposes! I love it and would recommend to parents of kids and dogs.

We got this to prevent the cats from opening a bi-fold door to a bedroom. It is easy for an adult to slide over the hinge area, from either side of the door, yet prevents the cats from opening it.

This is a simple cuff of clear plastic that fits over the top of the door. When it is over the hinge area of a folding door, the door cannot open. It works exactly as described! The handle shown is not actually necessary, although convenient. You can slide it without the handle, from both sides, which is important when you have a bi-fold door between rooms!

It suits our needs perfectly.

Works great! My only issue is a small one. The slide rod on the top isn't long enough for non adult family members to reach. My eight year old needs help in and out.

This was the best safety product I think I have ever purchased. We have a bi-fold pantry door that my 2-year old would always open and get into. Plus there was the risk of him shutting it on his fingers. All you do with this product is close the pantry door and slide it down over the top where it would normally bend to open. That's it! We don't even use the attached handle that is optional to use. We just slide it to the right or left whenever we need to open the pantry! The price was well worth it! Can be used in other areas of the home that have bi-fold doors.

We just moved into a new place that has a lot of bi-fold doors. The first hour we were here he got his finger caught in the door. I purchased these, installed them all within 5 mins and haven't had a problem since. He's tries to open the doors every once in a great while, but when he realizes he can't, he just moves on to the next thing.

I bought a similar product in a store, but it wasn't thick enough and had to return it. It was also ugly. But this product is thick enough for our closet door, plus, it's clear and simple design, so it doesn't stand out. You won't notice it's there until you try to open the closet. And of course, it works well. I love this product!

I have these type of doors through out my house and I didn't have any idea they even made locks or them. now I can relax and not worry about fingers getting pinched.They really could be cheaper it's only a peice of hard plastic not much to it.

I had lost all hope of finding a Bifold door lock that would slide down easily over the door, side to side, and not take the paint off the door. We had tried several other brands and this is the absolute best by far. I can't say enough great things about it. We have four sets of Bifold doors in our kitchen and with a 1 year old and 4 year old running around these locks are the best. Sturdy, movement is a breaze and best of all, it does not rub the paint off the doors. I have recomended this product to several other mothers with confindance!!! Great, Fantastic, and piece of mind knowing my children are safe!!!

This is a great product and a great idea. Little fingers can easily get caught in bi-fold doors. My son is very careful with regular doors and watching his fingers but on his closet bi-fold doors because of the folds he almost got his fingers pinched. It's rather hard to fairly rate this product as it did not fit on my doors. It seemed like a good idea, it seemed to be well constructed, in theory it would probably have prevented my twins from getting into their closet at nap time, but I couldn't try it out.

There was not enough clearance at the top of my bifold doors for the lock to fit. I could easily get the lock on my door, but then the door would not close.

If you are interested in this product, make sure that you have at least 1/4-1/2 inch of space between the top of the door and the door frame for the lock to fit and slide.
