CareRails Mount Kits and Extension Kit

I love this product and its ease of instalation. I had 2 sets top to bottom even with rails being trimmed to lenght time was 25 minutes. My daughter loves it.

I have a very stubborn toddler who insists on walking up and down stairs, so we purchased this product (rail kit). Installation wasn't too bad. Make sure you hold the rail up under your existing rail to ensure that your positioning doesn't interfere with your existing wall brackets. I was suprised that holes in the rails were not pre-drilled but its not hard to get them in. The rail is not quite as solid as I was expecting but still very sturdy for my son. Overall, I am very happy with the added safety that the rail allows. It is the perfect height for my 22 month old.

This is wonderful to have with indepentant children who insist on doing things on their own. Small enough to get little hand securely around and has rubber grip underneith to help hold on. This has saved my son from falling numerous times. Easy to install and is not an eye sore. My sister came to visit and wanted to know where she could get one and marveled how cool it was.

My son is 19months and so far he loves this to go down the steps. We have 9 foot cellings so our main railing was just too tall for him. He is still having some trouble getting the hang of going up the steps, he leans back so you have to make sure you go up with him. Overall I am glad I bought it.

I'm glad that we didn't need to deface our walls or banisters to attach the railing for our toddler. It is a good design and sturdy. Cosmetically it looks alright too.

Easy to assemble, doesn't clash or look too obtrusive along the banister, adjustable height for comfortable reach. My daughter no longer tries to reach for the top of the banister. She can hold on to the rails, which are the perfect height for her arms. This is a great tool to help her go up and down the stairs more comfortably and safely because it offers her more stability and balance.

Relatively easy to install. It comes with the wood screws to attach to the railing but the only downfall is the lack of dry wall anchors for the "optional" holes on the brackets. We luckily had those in the drawer. We installed it in about thirty minutes.My husband drilled the 1/8in pilot holes and we used a screw driver to screw it into the wood railing. We have a window at the base of the stairs next to the door so we ran out of space to attach the last bracket so we cut the last piece of the railing shorter with a manual saw to fit the railing(easy to cut)Installed fine. My two year old has to get used to it. She still tries to grab the higher railing out of habit. We have a second child on the way, so this will be helpful later on. The railing is very sturdy plastic. I highly recommend this railing.

I am glad that we brought this product. My children have not been using it because my daughter still scoots up and down the stairs and my son, who is three seldom uses it at all. I feel more comfortable with it though. I think at least if they did loose their balance and fall it is something low that they could reach for. Also, great for kids who don't have stairs at their own home.

This carerail has made my 20 month old so happy! She has wanted to go down the stairs like Mommy and Daddy for awhile, but couldn't hang on to the banister. Attaching this has definitely helped her transition to the little girl stage. She feels so much more independent (even though we still hold her other hand as she walks down). She would clap for herself when she made it to the bottom for the first couple of weeks. It is a wonderful investment that will be used for a few years.

This is a great product. I found it very easy to install..only took about 15 minutes. My son loves it and he is learning how to climb and descend the stairs properly by using this product. It is the perfect height for toddlers and causes no damage to existing banisters/walls.

This stair rail has been great for my son who just turned two. He wants to walk down the stairs, and now he has a rail to hold on to instead of reaching up and falling off balance. The first time he used it, he actually said, thank you mommy, and gave me a hug! It was easy to screw into the existing handrail and we did not need to screw it into the wall. When we take it off, there will be no holes to fill! It looks sturdy, just have to keep my five year old from pulling on it.

This product does everything for a child that a regular handrail does for an adult! It secures fairly easily to the existing handrail via screws that hide well. It takes predrilling on the handrail for easier and more cosmetic installation, but I didn't have to install the wall side for additional support (optional). It wasn't needed!

Advice for easier installation for someone who can't work on the underside of the existing handrail: Take the handrail off and lay out your pieces first. You can see how things lay and won't encounter a problem with overlap on the existing hardware this way.

Remember that likely there will be a gate at the top of the stairs. Be sure to allow for room for the gate's hardware at the top of the stairs as well! This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it!

We have the rail mounted care rails for my 2 year old daughter. I feel she is much safer having the handrails to hold than the way she used to climb up and down holding the wall. I think it is a great safety product. It also installed very quickly.
