Locks do not work as advertised for knobs that are far apart. The are very flimsy. My 19mo thinks the lock is a toy and just rips it off and opens the cabinet. I'm not sure how they work for close set knobs, but my knobs are about 5" apart and at that distance they offer no security.

This is the third and best sliding cabinet latch I've tried for cabinets with handles. This one opens plenty big enough for wide set handles, and the way it opens it's not likely to break in half like another brand I tried.

These were the only locks that were long enough to fit on my kitchen knobs. They work great!

The only con is that they are hard to pull off when I'm in a hurry but I guess that means my baby can't pull them off either.

Other than that they are perfect.

I bought two of these - one for the bathroom and one for the buffet. It works great in the bathroom, but the knobs on the buffet are 6 inches apart and it would not reach that far. I was disappointed because the advertisement said it would reach that far.

I have a dark brown bookshelf/cabinet that has two glass doors you pull open with glass dishes in it. I put this on- you don't really notice it.
Works great.

I also put one on the cabinet doors under one of the master bedroom sinks. He tried opening it once-and moved on.

It seems kinda of flimsy- but I have had no problems.

Happy with these, however they do require two hands to open and the husband keeps forgetting to re lock it after he's finished in the cabinet. Haha. You do have to remember to lock it back up.
