This book case allows my 21/2 year old to easily access her current book collection and also store some additional books in the storage bins for rotation. The materials are very sturdy and she has not yet knocked it over, which is a good plus :-). It was also extremely easy to assemble.

My daughter and I assembled with little difficulty. The only suggestion is that all the parts be labeled not just some of them. My grandson loves to have a place tp put his books - so does his mom.

The only problem I had was that after receving it I realized it wasnt the color I saw in the magazine. I wanted it to be cherry wood to match my living room and it was the color of Oak. I called to switch it but I would have to send the whole thing back (after I put it together) and threw the box away. So therefore I could not send it back but I did called and thats what they suggested I do. Unfortunatly even though I love it I wish they could do something for me as far as exchanging the wood. If there is I would be forever grateful!

As a mother of two boys 2 and under, our books were everywhere. This created a great place to store books as well as additional items underneath in the pull out baskets. The boys can easily go get the book they want and put it back without assistance.

This bookshelf is great. We have A LOT of books. This shelf keeps them organized. The old bookshelf we had, just the standard style, held more books on the shelves. But, with the two storage bins on this shelf we manage. All the little tiny board books have gone in one bin with toys in the other bin. Bigger books go in the slings. This shelf keeps the room looking neat and allowed me to get rid of two other free standing toy bins. I think it's great!

Books galore fit nicely into the roomy pockets of this bookshelf. The canvas totes hold many odds and ends. Children can easily reach most things placed inside, and adults can easily see things from above. Putting things away where they belong is lots more fun. Great space-saver.

my daughter saw this bookshelf system in your catalog and thought it would be a nice gift. I bought two, one for each grandchild (two different families). I was concerned about pruchasing this bookshelf at first, due to the negative reviews, but couldn't find anything like it elsewhere. I went for it and am glad I did.[...] and VERY easy to assemble. I did not have any problems with the holes matching up. The instructions are a little awkward and could lead to problems I suppose, but I did not have any problems at all. Once assembled it was very sturdy. It is now in use and holds a ton of books in the slings and lots of toys in the drawers below. One thing to note is that it does not have a solid back. The dowel rods that hold up the slings are what keep it together for the most part, but again not an issue since the holes have metal screw guides and it is very sturdy once assembled. One possible addition I would like to see: A shelf or rack between the slings and the bins for wood puzzles.

This bookshelf is very sturdy, unlike others I have tried with a similar design. My daughter is 18 months old and LOVES books, so this is the perfect way to display them for her in a way that she can see the covers and know what's there. I did not get it personalized because there may be more children in the future and this will become a shared library.
