I had a bigger Britax seat with my 1st child and got this one for my second when she was about 7 months old. I love how much easier it is to carry and look forward to using it for a plane trip. It is a very sturdy seat, easy to install and easy to use and she seems to be very comfortable in it.

The only problem is that she is just over 1 year old and I am already worried about her outgrowing it rearfacing. For a rearfacer there has to be be at least 1 inch of car seat above the head and she is getting close to that already. But, since rearfacing is so much safer, at least until age two and longer if possible, I will have to move her to a taller seat soon. Also, for being a seat that is outgrown soon, it also is not appropriate for newborns or small infants. This is because when rear facing the strap height needs to be even with the shoulder or below and very few newborns are tall enough to use this seat and some children take a good 6 months or so to be tall enough. So, it has very limited use, but I am loving it for the time I get to use it. If you want a Britax seat, the Marathon or Boulevard would get you much more bang for you buck. If you are not worried about the limited use this is a fun, cute little seat.

The car seat is very easy to install but I have several dislikes of it. First of all the straps dig into my children's necks and leave dark red marks which I am sure is uncomfortable. Second, it is a pain to adjust the straps because you have to uninstall the carseat as well as unthread and then rethread. Lastly, and the most important, my son has learned to push the chest clip down and wiggle his body out of the seat. He is 2 years old. I called the company and they had no sympathy, just said that there is not a car seat that is child proof.

I bought this seat for my second child and wish I'd found it sooner! I'm planning to buy one for my third child. It's the most comfortable seat I've found. I love how it positions my daughter's legs. It keeps them from dangling uncomfortably. I also like how it keeps her head back when she falls asleep.

This is a great car seat. I have used the roundabout for both of my children. It's easy to install and very sturdy. My only grip is that you can not clean the seat cover. Replacement covers are $50.00. Otherwise a great purchase

While I agree that these seats are expensive (I had to get two (twins!) - plus one for the in-laws), I really think they are the best out there. I did a lot of research on crash test ratings, and this seat was the top pick many times over (it even beat out the more expensive Britax seats). I checked out almost every other convertable car seat available, and the Roundabout was the easiest to install - thanks to the lock off clips for rear AND forward facing - and use. The belts are great and even have Velco to hold them to the seat sides so they stay out of the way (a plus when you have a baby in each arm). I can easily put one in her seat, clip the chest clip and buckles, and tighten the belts with one hand, while holding the other baby (but I only do this when absolutely necessary!). The seat fabric is very soft, and the seat seems very confortable for my twins. I was a bit concerned that there are only three strap heights (the more expensive models have 4), but my 11 1/2 month old twins are still fine on the lowest notch for rear facing, and have just about reached the second notch (and they are tall babies). I only wish that the Roundabout had strap covers like the other Britex models do. Oh, and when the girls fall asleep in their seats, their heads DO NOT fall forward!

My husband & I bought this car seat while we were searching for a toddler seat. It's been the best car seat ever. My son loves this car seat. It's easy to use, & to clean. We have another car seat for our 2nd car, but every time we use our 2nd car, he hates it. We finally figured it was the car seat & he wasn't comfortable in it. But every time we use the Britax car seat, he has NO complaints. He?s turning 4 this year, so we've used it for almost three years now. Great Car Seat. Highly recommend.

My son has had this carseat since he was a baby. We originally bought it because of the safety rating. It has lasted through many years of travel (including airplane). I would highly recommend it. He has outgrown it but we were so pleased with Britax that we bought a booster seat for each car.

I bought this seat based on some information I read in Consumer Reports. It's been great so far -- Easy to install, soft/padded cover, easy to adjust straps over clothing (winter bulk to summer, etc.), and unlike some other seats, it will take my son through the toddler years.
