We have used this monitor nightly and during naps since our 15 month old was born. There was an issue with battery life early on, [...]. That was just shy of her first birthday. Now the screen is flickering, and often times does not work at all, and of course the item is out of warranty. I find it disappointing that a monitor costing as much as this one does is not useful beyond 18 months. [...] I plan on looking into alternatives to this inferior product with poor customer relations.

We have a slightly older version of this summer system which has a toggle for A and B and now since Have 2 little ones(toddler/infant) use it all the time with husband purchasing a seperate camera to augment system so we have 1 in each room with 1 monitor.

It is great to see which kid is sleeping and which is up when they are in cribs upstairs and we are downstairs

but It does get a lot of static and can't take the monitor to our bedroom and get both channels clearly. It also doesn't work in backyard say when I want to play with toddler on swingset and baby is napping because the range is too short even though am less than 10 ft out of door.

Still though video is way to go (also can see them and turn down sound if you want to and can keep eye on toddler in crib)over voice alone even though this not perfect

Great Concept- disappointing performance

This worked pretty well at first, but battery life became shorter and shorter, and at same time, picture became fuzzier, until at about 1 year old had no picture. Always had static, even though no neighbors have little children or monitors. My HVAC unit caused lots of static (to where unit woke me up at night), and evidently there were other sources of interference, but I'm not sure where they came from...even unplugged phones, but that wasn't it. I would pay more for a really good quality monitor, but would not buy this one again.

Leaps and Bounds Response: A couple of hints to improve performance, please know that the battery is rechargeable on the parent's unit. Also, there is a 2-channel selection to minimize interference. Must be set on same channel for parent unit and baby unit. Please contact our Customer Service Department for further assistance.

I received this as a gift and absolutely love it. Yeah it is pricey but you have to think...if I spend[$]and safe the life of my child cause I can see them doing something in their sleep and not making noise...is it worth it? Absolutely. PERIOD!!!Yeah I said I could hear static but very little and for all I know it could just be the fan I hear in the background.

Absolutely hate this product. The first monitor I purchased for my first child is the phillips monitor which has been amazing and absolutely no static. This time I really wanted a video monitor and after reading the wonderful reviews I decided to purchase this one. We have been using the monitor for several weeks and it has horrible static no matter how close or far away we are from the camera and sometimes the screen shows static. Also if you read other reviews for the monitor on other websites, you will find numerous people using this monitor have turned on their camera and saw another person's child. Apparently if you live close to someone with a camera, your camera may interfere with theirs, and you may get their camera view instead of seeing your own child. This also happened to a relative of ours. How terrible is that.

I love this thing. So much better than hearing a sound and having to go into their room to see whats going on and they are either sound alseep or awakened by you coming in. The sound is so clear you can hear them breathe. The picture is so clear you can even see them breathe. I wish I had one in my 4 year olds bedroom. Maybe when they are teenagers too. Haha. The greatest thing is it's mobile. I can be all over the house and peek at him if I need to. When I am sleeping and hear him make a noise, instead of jumping out of bed to check on him, I just look over and see that he's sound asleep and I just fall back to sleep. I didn't have one with my first and there were a lot of sleepless nights for me, even though he slept just fine. You know the thought of if he's breathing or not. This video monitor gives you peace of mind.

When i first decided I needed this item I was mocked for being overly anxious as a mom to be, and a sucker to spend so much on a monitor. Now all my friends and family think it is the greatest tool and I get to say I told you so. If my son wakes in the night I can give him a chance to learn how to fall back to sleep on his own all the while assured he is safe. I can see at any time that he hasn't turned onto his tummy or has a blanket over his face. I loaned it to a friend who visited with her toddler while my son was still in his bassinet in our room, and she could see when her daughter was standing in the crib and knew when to go and fetch her or when she was just a bit restless, with out any need to go in and disturb the child. The night vision is very clear and you can watch your child learn to easily drift off to sleep on their own knowing they are not in distress. With a sound only monitor each sound makes you wonder what is going on, now we only need to click the button to check up on our little man. Priceless Peace of Mind!!!!!!

I absolutely love this product! The screen is super clear during the day or night. The night vision is great...I only have a small night light in my baby's room and I can still see her very clearly. It is so nice to check on her without having to go up the stairs to her room and risk waking her up! Everyone should have one of these. It is also fun to spy on my 4 and 6 year old boys playing!!

I wish I would have purchased this as our first monitor! Day/night video is wonderful, sound quality is good, and not much interference. Our room is close to our child's, making a little bit of static but not enough to keep me awake. My child has sleep issues, and can see him clearly with monitor 8 feet from him. I will recommend this product to everyone.

I honestly don't know how any new parent can make it without one of these! I LOVE this thing. We use it every time we put our baby down. It is fantastic to watch her without having to go in there every 5 min. The quality of the picture is great along with the battery life. There is limited interference. I purchased the product after having tried two other less expensive ones...this by far surpasses the others! I could actually get rest with my newborn because I felt so sure that I could rely on this monitor. I had the volume set so I could hear him breathe (I'm a new mommy). I also slept with the video on and the monitor laying next to me so I would not have to budge whenever I woke and wanted to be sure he was still there! (again, I'm a new mommy). The only thing is that when I have his camera turned off, I can view my neighbors house! Also, I can't have the monitor on and use my house cordless phone (static with the monitor) so I just use my cell, no biggie! in the end, I don't know how new mommies slept without this monitor. I plan to use this until he moves out! j/k...kinda
