With another baby on the way I was looking for a way to use the closet in my almost 2 year olds room to fit both of them. I had looked through a lot of different systems when I found this online. It was easy to assemble, went up in about 15 minutes and is very durable. I even ordered extra drawers for my small bookcase as additional toy and book holders. I would recommend this to anyone!

This add-a-rod is AWESOME! It has completely organized our twins' closet and made my life so much easier. We live in a townhome with very small closets so this has been the best buy I've ever made!! I recommend it to anyone with multiples or small closests or someone that just has a lot of baby/toddler clothing :-)

I put the add-a-rod in my daughters closet she is only 1yr old but she has more clothes than I do (thanks to my family) so I had to do something about her closet. The add-a-rod is very convenient.It took no time to put it up, a few velcro straps wrap it around the existing rod and your done. I didn't realize how much room I was wasting between her floor and the bottom of her clothes until I hung the add-a-rod in her closet, now I need to order another one for my other daughters closet.

My two sons share a room as well as a very small closet. This Add-a-rod is wonderful! Each boy has his own rod now, and I can heighten or lower the rod so my son can get his own clothes off it. It's wonderful for organization, as well as for independent kids. I pack the rod full, and it has never bowed or warped.

Unfortunately the rod is too long on the smallest setting. It is 32" long including the rubber ends which is too long for my 31" closet. I bought the rod not for the fact that it was extendable but for the actual idea of creating more closet space. My closet is on the narrow side and I relied on the indication that the rod is 30" wide on the smallest setting. [...]o I'm planning on giving it as a gift to a friend.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter's closet. I realized she could not reach a lot of her clothes from the high rod. I put the clothes I want her to wear to school for the week and some jackets/sweaters on this lower one so she can remain autonomous and dress herself and pick out her own clothes.

I love this piece. My daughter's closet only had the single top bar for hanging clothes. Now I have a lower bar allowing me to hang even more of her clothes and it's adjustable so I have it low enough that she can now reach her sweaters/jackets herself. It works very well and appears to be sturdy.

This is a great idea for a child's closet, but the construction of the straps makes it difficult to shorten them. They do not stay put once you move the straps up. Seems like they made it for a very high closet bar. Once one thing is hung on it, it slides right back down.

I am really glad to find this product. My 5 year old could not reach his clothes and was breaking hangers trying. This product allows me to place his clothes within his reach as well as organize some of his things. It is made very well. I love the ability to modify it how I choose and add more pieces later if needed. I think the price is reasonable for what you get. Now the boy's closet looks great!

I got the rod and shelves for my son's closet (now 16 months) when we were setting up his nursery and they were so wonderful I just had to get them for our new baby too! The rod and shelves add so much extra space, regardless of the size of the child's closet. And, you can use them as your kids grow!!

This was the best thing we bought. It is extremely well made, and I love that the rod is metal. You can't find anything like it at Babies R Us or Bed Bath & Beyond. Holds a lot of weight and is expandable. I highly recommend it!

Our 5-year old daughter's closet has a very high bar and she has not been able to reach her clothes. Obviously this has hindered her independence in dressing herself. We did not want to install another lower bar in the closet, and the closet is too wide for a tension rod to work effectively. The Add-A-Rod was able to expand to the perfect size and hangs low enough for our daughter to access her clothes. It also adjusts so we'll be able to move it higher and higher as she grows. She is thrilled and so are we.
