I got this for Christmas for my 7 month old, who likes music as she goes to sleep. I thought this would be perfect! It does work well (the light is pretty), but does not fit on our crib (it is not oversized, but is a convertible crib). I thought this would still be ok since you can sit it anywhere. Then my Ipod kept dying. I really like this concept, but honestly it is easier just to have a CD player in the room or an Ipod dock that charges the Ipod while it is playing. I am returning this product.

This is probably the only product like this so far. The only other option is a CD player that most stores sell. I bought one for my sister and my friend, both who are soon to deliver (after receiving ours). It's easy to assemble and accommodates all players. I love that I can play all different types of music without having to store CDs in the room. It's also easy to remove from the crib and play elsewhere. The sound is clear and volume is controlled through your player. The nightlight is also useful. Great, great, great!
