I got this to use in the pool when my younger son was an infant 6 years ago. At the time I had a 9 year-old, who could swim moderately well and a 5 year-old who was still learning. I needed something to bring the baby in the pool and have free hands. It also had to dry pretty quickly. This fit the bill. My son was 3 months, almost to the day, when we used it the first time. He would fall asleep in it. We used it all summer and the next. I now have a 7 month old and am going to get another one. We seem to have misplaced the first one.

I read the reviews for this product and thought that since my 9 month old son is not at all chubby, the leg straps wouldn't be too tight on him. And I thought that since he's only 20 pounds it wouldn't be uncomfortable for me. I was wrong on both accounts. The elastic leg straps were very tight and left red marks around his legs. I wore it for only 20 minutes and finally couldn't stand the shoulder pain any longer. [...]

Good to use when going on errands or when visiting friends because it is lightweight. You have to get used to putting it on and adjusting it can take a little time.

Alllll i can realy say is that this carrier is the best and simple to use, It does not squash my chest, since im nursying with is great compare to other ones.

My son is a tiny slim baby. The ridiculously tight leg bands turned his whole leg red within 1 minute. Surely, he cried that made me angry at myself applying this ridiculous product to him . I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable my son might be. The company could easily design an adjustable band to fit to different size babies to replace an overall-too-tight band. Its design is WITHOUT the consideration of babies' comfort. It did NOTHING to balance weight on my shoulder as well. It was totally a money wasting to me. I had to just throw such poorly designed product away. The carrier was so lousy that I could NOT pass it to someone or donate it to Salvation Army.

First the positives: I love the concept, the simplicity of the design and ease of use! It was well-made and I felt that it would be a safe way to carry my son.
The only negative: the leg straps are just too small for son's chubby legs. He is on the bigger side 20.5lbs at 6 months but these straps probably wouldn't have fit even at 4 months.

It is very disappointing because I think it is a great product if he could be comfortable in it.

This hip carrier is fabulous and my seven-month old loves to be in it. I have used it when shopping as well as around the house. My only complaint is the position of the shoulder clasp. I wish that it (the shoulder clasp) was positional, e.g. that I could move it lower or higher. For me, it lands right on my collarbone. It does have a wrp-aroundcushion, it just could be little more padded. I solved the issue by putting a washcloth underneath the clasp. I am buying a second hip carrier to give as a shower gift.

My daughter always wants to be on my hip; it was really taking a toll on my back. This was a tremendous help. The pocket is a great size and the only thing is I wish it could shorten a little more in the torso for us short people, but it's close enough to be comfortable and I am 5 feet. Anyway, there is nothing else out there like this and it's simple and easy. and folds up into itself to go along with you. Perfect.

After reading mixed reviews I was hesitant on ordering. I have researched slings and carriers trying to get the best bang for my buck. My son is 3yrs old and weighs 37lbs. It is so comfortable and he loves it. I bought it as he has to have surgery and I needed away to make him comfortable while being easily carried.This Product is great and I will recommend it again and again.

I did not think the back came up high enough. It felt unsecure. Also, the leg openings were not big enough for my babies legs.

I have a 20 lb 8 month baby, baby is not supported well and although it takes the strain off your back, there is strain on the shoulder.

This carrier is much easier on my back than traditional carriers. I highly recommend. And you can't beat the price.

It doesn't provide any back support. After a few minutes it began to hurt my back and shoulder. I also didn't like the straps to put my baby's legs through. They seemed tight, hard to put on, and not very safe.

my 9 month old is heavy for his age (21 lbs) and wants to be carried alot some days. thought this would be awsome. when it arrived it was easy to unwrap, difficult to get tight enough. when i finally got it i put my son in it and the elastic straps for his legs cut into him. it was very uncomfortable for me and i dident feel secure letting him go, so hands free wasent an option. we returned it and are looking for something else.

The idea of the product is wonderful, but it is extremely uncomfortable. My son hangs too low on my hip and is forced to "hug" my side at all times. The shoulder strap also cuts into the neck. Maybe it would work better on a small, lightweight child.
