My son is now 2 and we still use this when nursing in public. I can nurse him with just my shirt as a cover up these days (unlike when he was a newborn and I was new to nursing - you flash a lot of boobage while getting it right so the shawl was an absolute must then) but I still prefer the shawl because it's so much easier with it. It covers your stomach and sides in addition to the breast yet has a roomy enough neck opening so you can maintain eye contact with baby while nursing (enhancing bonding).
it is a totally private and a relaxing way to nurse. Most people don't even notice I'm indeed breastfeeding and I credit the beauty of the shawl and the ease with which one nurses using it. It washes wonderfully, feels like lightweight suede, and comes with a matching pouch (keeping it clean in the diaper bag and super handy).
I feel more comfortable knowing those uneasy with public nursing can't say boo about it if I use this because there is simply nothing to see. I will say if you nurse a toddler like I do people will stare at the giant legs coming out the bottom of the shawl. I don't care but it's a definite change from nursing a newborn - no one noticed I was nursing at all back then! Also, toddler nursers will try to kick it off so they must be told over and over not to because it will fly up and expose you both if you allow him or her to do so. I would buy this for anyone I know who plans on trying to nurse. I believe it can make the difference between success and giving up for those who are shy about showing skin/breast or those who are afraid of public criticism. This shawl allows you to nurse ANYWHERE. Name a place and I've whipped it out and nursed, almost always under the pretty protection and privacy of this amazing shawl.

Our newest baby hasn't come yet, but I'm excited to try this out. I plan on bringing it to the hospital with me for privacy when lots of family or friends visit. It's very soft, fits nice and still looks brand new after being washed. I hope I like it as much when I use it with our son.

I really wish I had this when I had my first child. I tried using blankets to provide a little privacy when breat feeding, but they were really hard to work with. This is much easier and a lot more convenient.

This is a great nursing shawl. With my third child now I am more confident nursing in public and find it to be a huge inconvenience to run off and find a hiding place every time my baby needs to nurse. This is the only shawl I've tried. I did a little research before purchasing this one and others seemed too heavy, bulky or they only covered the front. I mostly wear shirts that I have to pull up to nurse and feel embarrassed to have my midriff exposed. This shawl appears to do a better job at covering the front and back. It could be bigger though for better coverage as my baby grows and wriggles more, especially the sides but I haven't seen any that look better. It does a better job when you're sitting as shown in the picture but I occasionally nurse as I shop. It's lightweight and easy to pull out on top to see my baby. It rolls up to fit in the diaper bag. I've also found it useful to drape over the car seat when she's sleeping. It makes it nice and dark and she often falls asleep under it. Overall I am very pleased and have purchased another for an expecting friend. I've gotten plenty of comments and inquiries over it also.

The material is really nice and I can see people wearing it as a shawl but it was not functional as a cover. I used this with my daughter and she would not sit still while I fed her..I think she was freaked out by how dark it was I have a lightweight cover (another brand) and light comes through it so she can see. Also the opening for your head is so large if your a smaller woman it falls past what is supposed to be covered, deafeating the purpose of using it.

I love this cover-up shawl! I use it to breastfeed my infant in public places, and it's very discreet and classy.

I am such a modest person that breastfeeding in public is a very uncomfortable thing for me. With this shawl, though, I feel much more comfortable. Although it's a bit obvious what I'm doing, I know that I'm completely covered and that my baby can't kick off the shawl. I would highly recommend this to any nursing mom!

This shawl is easy to use, but my only complaint is that my baby gets hot under there, and will cry and stop nursing! I have to lift it up often and let her get some air. I would prefer a cotton shawl.

This product is wonderful. It covers everything so well that I even fed my daughter in the middle of a busy restaurant without anyone giving me a second glance. My daughter didn't like it when I put a blanket over her, so when I used this for the first time I was so happy to find that it didn't bother her at all. The only time that I had a problem using it was on a windy day at the park with my kids. I would highly recommend this to any nursing mom.

I got this shawl as a gift when my son was born 5 months ago and I have used it every day since. My favorite way to use it (other than the obvious) is as a stroller canopy so that strangers can see but keep their hands off my baby. I like that it's a solid color because it matches virtually everything I own. I liked the blue one I got so much that I went out and bought a brown one as well, and I get compliments on them all the time. The best part about nursing in it (as opposed to other shawls) is that it covers my back so if I am not wearing a button up shirt I can lift up and not give a peep show from behind!
