We have several old elongated toilets and another type that I tried did not fit. This one required a slight adjustment -- we had to buy a longer version of the plastic screw that attaches seat to bowl but then it worked and the solution was inexpensive. They work well and my 2 year old can't open the toilet.

We registered for this lock and received two, one for each toilet. They weren't difficult to install however, they require the use of two hands to open the toilet and the lid doesn't stay fully upright. The bulky base that the toilet lid bolts fit through cause a fitting problem. The seat/lid never get tight enough to keep them from sliding askew. We've actually had a seat crack because it will no longer line up with the toilet bowl. These also making cleaning between the seat and tank difficult so that it never really gets clean unless you take it all apart. As far as keeping our daughter out of the toilet, it works. It does, at times, make it difficult for the adults to use when it sticks.

Keeps toilet closed, but allows a bit of a gap so that our daughter can still reach a hand into the toilet (hence, is still able to drop things in) but she is no longer able to fall in or play in the toilet water; a bit difficult to install but very easy to use!

So far I am really happy with this product. My husband installed it very quickly. Although it does take two hands to remove - one to push the button and one to slide - that is okay with me. I would rather have the peace of mind knowing my son cannot remove it.

I like that you have to install it to where it can't be removed easily. That way guests or yourself can't take it off to use the restroom and forget to put it back on. Make sure your guests know to put the lid back down though. Not all of mine know how.

This is one of my favorite babyproofing devices. Keeps small kids, toys, and anything else that doesn't belong, out of the toilet while easily allowing adults and older children access. We first bought less expensive suction cup model toilet locks and found them to be worthless as the suction let go and the locks fell off nearly every time we tried to release them to raise the toilet seat. This model costs more but is well worth it. We bought one for every toilet in the house.

Once we got this installed, it works great. I was worried about my grandson, who's goal in life is to get into anything I forget to close or pick up. I was worried about the toilet. I didn't want something that he would figure out quickly, or something that would get yucky. The only issue I have is the installation instructions direct you to install the bracket under the toilet, which is not possible on the style I have. I asked a friend about it, and she said that it wouldn't work this way on most toilets. She installed it on top, and it worked fine.

I use the Toilet Lid Locks on my two toilets. They are difficult to install if your toilet hinges are dirty. that means of course cleaning them before installing the TLLs. Otherwise, they can be installed with the least amount of fuss and they do work. My son has lost interest in trying to get into the toilets.
