Our 5 yr old daughter didn't want to wear pull-up diapers to bed anymore since she is a "big girl". She is a SOUND sleeper and is usually soaked in the morning, so these were not absorbant enough. We now use them with an adhesive adult incontinence pad inserted (still cheaper than pull up diapers) and that actually works well. Our daughter feels more confident in her "sleeping panties", and inserts the "secret padding" on her own. Just ordered the night time version of these to see if they will absorb better.

I'm potty training my 35-month-old daughter. I really like the absorbancy of the training pants. She really feels the wetness of her pee pee in the pants. Some of her pee pee still leaks out but at least it's not a lot of leakage. She just doesn't like the tightness around the legs. I do notice the pant leg pinching her thighs and legs when I take them off. I'm trying to see if the next size up will make a difference.

These training pants are completely leak proof and unlike disposable training pants, they let my daughter know when she had an accident. I took the advice from another reviewer and bought a size bigger. They fit great. Worth the money.

Dri Days training pants are like what it was described. My daughter likes it and I think they are comfortable. Having said that, I think it is not helping in toilet training for us because she didn't feel wet after wetting herself. We may let her wear probably when we are going out of the house.

It was time to take the plunge and leave the house in panties. We use plain padded cotton panties at home which are great for training, but I knew they would absorb next to nothing out and about. I can accept that this is a messy process but wanted to at least try and reduce the mess on other people's floors! So we were looking for a training panty that wasn't disposable and still would "catch" the majority of leaks to reduce puddles when were in public. So far these seem to do just that. The panty got wet and so did her pants a bit, but the floor stayed dry. The only "draw back" might be that they have gussets and they do absorb quite a bit initially... so 1) the child has to put a bit of effort in to tug them down and 2) they really don't initially leak so the helpful quick reminder of "wet/dripping" is dulled... but that is what makes them work well so I am willing to accept the trade-off and just make sure to use the padded pants at home. They are a bit pricey too at almost $10 each - but that is still cheaper than pull-ups! Final pro - they look like big girl panties... more so than the plastic pant options anyway!

I love the concept of having thick underwear for my son who is potty training. The cons to these are you only get one underwear with your order. You go through so many pairs when training it's a waste of money to only buy one. Also, they are boring for the child. My son does not like wearing them because there are no fun characters. I do love that they hold the urine/poop in and are also comfortable. They are also easy to clean.

I am using these for potty training my 2 year old son. They have pretty good absorbency but do leak if the child goes a lot at one time. My son was pretty much catching on to the toilet training and had been going "#2" on the toilet since he was 18 months. He just didn't care if he wet his diaper or pull up. My problem was I did not want him to run around the house in his underwear and learn by having accidents because we live in an apartment with wall-to-wall carpet. Long story short, these worked great for the 1st two days (he didn't like being wet in them and would stop peeing to get to the toilet), however, by the 3rd day he didn't seem to mind being wet in them anymore. :( I have resorted to the underwear but use the dri days training pants when I have to run an errand, pick up my oldest from school, etc.. They have been Fantastic for that and I feel good that I don't have to use chemical packed diapers/pull ups for these times and am saving a little on the environment. I also use them for overnight now (same reasons) and it's hit or miss if he leaks through. He DEFINITELY wakes up if he pees in them which I think is great. I put a crib pad under his sheet and simply change it if he leaks a little. I think tonight I am going to put regular underwear on and then the dri nights and see how that works. Definitely would recommend to someone seriously trying to potty train, not a fan of chemicals and interested in not spending so much on pull ups.
Oh yes, they really wash and dry great! I was extremely skeptical before I bought them from all of the mixed reviews, but I have had absolutely no problems. I dry them on low heat and they are done after one cycle. Maybe if you have an older dryer that doesn't get that hot it would be a problem... I don't know.

We used these with my son when he was potty training and still sometimes find them useful for traveling, just in case we have a hard time finding a place to go.

With our second we tried another way and are using Elimination Communication with our 7 month old. I tried put these training pants on her just to see how they fit, and surprisingly the 2T fit just fine. We have been using them successfully if we miss an potty opportunity.

They are great because they hold in any pees and even poops (with the gussets) and don't leak easily. They are a perfect in between diapers and underwear. I'm glad I tried them with the baby too!

It would be nice if they were made in a 18M size because some families are able to start pottytraining at that age. More petite toddlers could also benefit from a smaller size, but like I said, they are fitting an infant just fine.

It took some convincing for my daughter to wear them ("they're too tight!"), but now she loves them because she can go anywhere without a diaper! My two year old would only wear the size 3's at first. She will now wear the 2's, but when I bought more, I stuck with the 3's - they haven't leaked!

These work well for the purpose of training. They absorb quite a bit, but they will leak if you rely on them as you do a pull up. These are great because when my child has an accident she can feel it and tells me she is wet. After washing, they take a long time to dry, so I usually dry them in the dryer and them leave them inside out to finish air-drying. They are ready to use the next morning.

My son weighs 36 lbs, so I bought a 4t and a 6. The 4T was too small and too tight for my son. So that was a waste of [$]. I think they are a great training pant, but just too expensive.
