This is great for standard flat cords, but a larger round cord (like from a power strip) will not fit through the hole on the bottom.

I bought two of these for the lamps in our family room. It doesn't hold enough cord. Now it is blocking the other outlet and another cord won't fit inside the box. Any bigger and it would be even more unsightly than it is now though. Also it won't work for cords that have a plug that is flat like the one on our surge protector.

The concept behind this is great but it doesn't work for most cords. The lamp cord is too thick to fit in the "cord keeper" and the cord to my son's nebulizer won't fit at all -- even if I don't wind it up! I bought two of these and one will never get used. I was able to use one for the monitor simply because that has an ultra skinny cord. Normal electrical cords will not fit!

Cords with square plugs don't fit inside of this, so we couldn't use them for all of our cords. Still, a great product for cords with traditional plugs.

The openings at the bottom for cords were not big enough for multi-outlet strip cords. I had to make the openings bigger with a drill. Then I was able to pop the cover on. Just what I needed to keep the daycare children safe.

I ordered a couple of these to cover our cords that were out in the open after our 10 month old repeatedly crawled to the plugs and unplugged them and tried to plug them back in with her slobbery hands (not a good combo). I was worried they'd be kind of bulky and ugly but wanted them anyways to prevent any shocks. My husband was able to install them quickly and they don't look bad at all. Our baby is now intrigued by the Outlet Covers but, despite weeks of trying, can still not get them to budge. If you have items that are out in the open and can't be plugged into an outlet that is hidden, I'd definitely recommend these covers. Very inexpensive, too for the peace of mind it brings knowing that you're not going to walk in and find baby trying to plug in a slobber soaked cord.

We had no problem installing the wall plate of this guard, but our cord was too thick to fit through the cover. We had intended to use this behind our entertainment center, since our toddler likes to squeeze back there and unplug things. But the thick cord on our surge protector was too big for the notches in the cover plate. This would work fine with a thin cord, but we have to send ours back.

I think this product is great. I am using it with a power strip and a regular extention cord for the 2 plugs. The big problem is that the diameter of the power strip cord is large and does not fit in the little slots for routing the cord out of the bottom. I cut off the slot with wirecutters and was able to force the cover on but it was not easy. The extention cord is normal size and that side was fine and would work as directed. Need to have a design change for a bigger cord. Otherwise I really like the product.

My little girl wouldn't leave cord plugs alone and was always wanting to unplug everything. I was so happy when I discovered this cover. I'd been looking for something like it for a long time. This product works to keep your child from messing with outlet plugs but it has some problems. First it wobbles on the wall when you install it, second you cannot use it for thick cords. I had to cut a hole in the bottom of the cover in order for my surge protector cord to fit. I cannot get it to stop the wobbling though. Other than that I really love this product and it has taken a lot of worry off my mind.

I bought this because my son has a cd player on top of his dresser. The outlet to the cd player was exposed. There was no way we could position his dresser so that it will block access to the outlet. He used to pull the plug out of the outlet when he would take naps.
I love this thing! It makes it so he can fall asleep to his music without me worrying about him electrocuting himself!
