I had read that the latches were not reliable and strong, but I figured if I gave them 2 days to setup as opposed to the one day suggested, I would have better results. Unfortunately, I was wrong. As soon as my son pulled on the refrigerator door, it opened. I didn't even feel like sending them back. So dissapointed.

I really like the design. It latches really well. Once I got the hang of it, I can now open the fridge door one handed, which is very useful. Definately a must with a 2 year old!

We needed these for our fridge. My 18month old figured out how to unlock these within a couple of weeks. When we moved them out of her reach, the adhesive was no match for her 28lbs pulling on the door.

I needed something to keep my two year old out of the fridge. Installing the locks went fine, but after a few days the part on the fridge body, freezer side, came unstuck. OSA was great and sent another, same result. One more try? OSA sent one more - the day the replacement arrived, the refridgerator body side came unstuck. Had to give up then. I have resorted to a cabinet u-lock that seems to be working fine.

I have a two year old, who loves to help herself into the fridge. I was concerned that one day she'd pull a breakable out and...break it. Or spill milk, or something inevitable. So I purchased this latch.
It was very easy to install (just clean the fridge surface, and stick the latch on) and easy to use. When the latch is engaged, you might have to use two hands to open the fridge. With some practice, you can use one hand. You can also disable the latch if you're going to be opening and closing the fridge often, while cooking.
However. It broke.
When my 6yr old forgot about the latch and yanked on the fridge to open it, the glue came off of the latch and now it opens freely. See, I installed it correctly, the glue is still on my fridge. It's the manufacturer's fault that the glue didn't adhere to their product strongly enough. After only a few days, it is now useless.

You need to give the glue time to set. At first it's a pain, you find yourself pulling and forgetting that you put the lock up there. But once you get used to let, works great to keep the toddler out and from leaving the door open and the food out!

Easy to install (took seconds) strong bond and easy to use. The only problem is that you can't open the fridge one handed when the lock is activated (when you are cooking it's best to disable the lock - which is very easy). Also, I keep forgetting it's there and try to open the fridge - shows how strong it is that it hasn't broken even though I keep tugging on it.

Great design, but not strong enough. 18 month old almost broke it; then 3 yr old did. Got 5 minutes of worth out of it. Very dissapointed.

my son is very strong as a 2 yr old and was determined to get in the freezer for a popsicle. It only took about 30 seconds of pulling on the door for the door to open and the lock to unsnap.

I was very unsure about how well these would work when I first bought them. My 3 yr old son was getting into the fridge and helping himself to things early in the morning and such.

They were easy to install. We cleaned and dried the surface. We waited 24 hours or so to actully use them so that the bond would be strong. So we left them in the disabled position for that time.

I have had them installed for about 3 months already and them have not come off or loosened up at all. My 3 year old has tried pulling the fridge open several times and them havent budged! My husband and I have accidently pulled while they were engaged too and they are still strong.

As long as you clean the surface and wait the time advised before you they are wonderful! We bought a 2nd for the freezer on top, cause once he couldnt open the fridge he moved onto the freezer. Now he doesnt get into either.

The only con I could see is that they seem like they would be easy to figure out, but my 3 year old hasnt bother to try to yet so we have no problems with that either.

I have searched and searched for years to find some kind of safety lock that would keep my Toddlers from just helping themselves into the fridge whenever they wanted. I only was ever able to find ONE lock and it didn't work for different fridge models. This safety lock is easy to use, strong built, and very versatile! It keeps my fridge SECURELY locked and keeps my mind at ease. I LOVE IT!!!

Our grandson started opening the fridge door, getting eggs out and throwing them on the floor. Our dogs loved it, but we were running out of eggs! These are super easy to install, no tools needed! They have worked just like I had hoped! Very VERY good product!

I am always skeptical of small, simple devices that are supposed to work as well as described, but I am a believer with this one. It snaps on very easily, and holds the door securely shut. I mounted it so that as I grasp the handle, I can click the lock with my thumb. Great Product, A+ to design!
