This is the second PacBack that we own. On the first, the stitching came apart at the seams after 2 uses. Before using this one we reinforced the shoulder straps and did not have any problems (yet).

This is a must have for parents of more than one small children that use airports. We went to a foreign country and needed a car seat for our toddler as well as two strollers and multiple bags. There was no way we were going to make it without this to carry the heavy car seat. The only con is watch out other people. Very wide, long load on one's back. But well worth it and you will get stopped by many to ask where you got it.

Made an overseas trip with our 21-month-old. Had previously lugged our Graco SnugRide travel system w/ us as car/plane seat. He's too big for that now so we bought the Pac Back and a booster seat w/ 5-pt harness for this trip. This combo was much easier to use and carry. Perhaps a tad uncomfortable after 2 straight days of flight connections and customs lines, but would not discourage me from using.

We bought this product last year when I was to be traveling by myself without my husband to cart the seat through the airport. It is a great idea. It worked the first 3 times we used it. The next two flights we noticed that the straps were starting to frey. Then as we got home on that last flight and were getting into the car one of the straps broke. I had my mother-in-law who has access to heavy-duty sewing machines fix the stap and re-strenghten the rest of the straps. I also has her re-strengthen the shoulder staps too, which were starting to frey also. I just used the re-strengthened pack on a recent trip and it worked great just like the first time. I would give this item a 5 if the material was stronger and lasted longer then 4 flights.

I used the PacBack for an airline trip with two layovers. I can't imagine taking the trip without it--having the carseat on my back was so much easier than carrying it by hand would have been. But, similar to other reviewers, I was dismayed to see that by the end of the trip the webbing was already starting to fall apart at the shoulders even though I was very gentle with it.
Despite the materials/construction concerns, I would still recommend the PacBack; however I'm now going to start the process of pursuing an exchange or refund since I might not feel secure using it for a second trip.

We bought this for our trip out of the country last year. We had a 2 year old who we brought a car seat for the plane, a stroller for him, plus a 5 year old with 2 backpacks full of toys/movies to entertain with! Needless to say, our ahnds were full! We needed a way to free up our hands from the carseat.
I reviewed tons of products out there, compared prices, tried to rig up my own device, then finally spent the minimal money for this. IT WAS THE BEST VACATION PURCHASE WE MADE!
The car seat buckled in easily, it was comfortable when worn (our car sear was pretty light) and we even wedged our older sons booster in there too!
Sometimes we forgot what was back there and would crash into people! But once we got used to it, it was so easy and convenient. We got so many comments and inquiries about where we got it.
We ares tarting to get ready for our upcoming vacation, and I just found this with all our luggage, I was so excited!
We had no issues with tearing or poor fabric.

Two clips hook around the seat, slide it onto your shoulders then clip the belt around your waist to carry the weight. You're done! If you don't have it positioned just right it can be a little uncomfortable while carrying but a small price to pay compared to having to hold and lug a cumbersome car seat. I just traveled from Europe to US alone with two kids and could not have done it without this!

Like other reviewers, I had problems with this thing falling apart. After using it twice, one of the straps has torn apart from the top part of the "back" section. The nylon tore, not the seam, so there is no way for me to repair it.

Love this product..so useful for travel, especially if you have a plane connection..made traveling with a large carseat simple..i would recommend it..

We used the backpack for our toddler's car seat when we flew to Chicago for Christmas (had to change planes each way). The backpack made it so easy to carry the car seat around. However it fell apart as we took the pack off in the baggage area to collect our bags and head home. It is expensive for a one trip use, but it sure is handy. Someone could make money by increasing the quality of this product!

Great product idea but the strap was not long enough to wrap around top and bottom of our car seat. Also, the fabric on the strap began to tear apart during the first use.

This product is a good idea, but poorly executed. The straps are not secured well enough, and it broke as we walked into the airport! We returned it to get out money back.

This is a must have for airline travel with a car seat. It makes for hands free travel through the airport so that you can tend to your children instead of carrying a bulky and awkward car seat. As others have noted, the straps on ours ripped in multiple places after only a couple of uses. I would still recommend this if you need to carry a car seat on the plane.

The reviews online with the complaints of poor quality were all absolutely TRUE! The idea is there and it's a great idea,BUT it's too bad the company doesn't wake up to these complaints and improve the quality of this product because it's a lifesaver when traveling with children. I would recommend this product with a warning ahead of time about the quality with family/friends.
