I bought this to try to prevent my toddler from getting into certain rooms as the ones from the store he can easily take off himself. It worked pretty good for a few days. It has strong construction and it took him a while to figure out how to dismantle it, but he eventually did. I now have them wrapped in tape and he has been unable to remove them since. The old ones he could take off, even when they were wrapped in tape.

I only gave this 4 stars because my daughter who is 3 is very close to mastering these door knob locks. All she had to do was watch me open it once and now she's trying to open it, still with no luck but I think it won't be long. Other then that they're great, just don't let them watch you use it!

We bought this to prevent our children from opening certain doors w/in our house, but I guess this products works well only on round knobs. All our doors have oval handles and although this product fits, it is not effective at preventing our children from opening the doors...

We have oval shaped doorknobs and I was hopeful these would prevent my 2 year old from opening a few select doors. These did not work on our doorknobs and my 2 year old was able to take it off the door knob! Can't see how they would work for any size door knob.

My two year old loves to turn the locking mechanism on all our doors. Once he locked himself in his bedroom (luckily there are two doors to his room) and I was sure he was going to just let himself out of the house one day. He can't get to those locks anymore! It is difficult for me to unlock the door too, but I have short little fingers and it is still worth the hassle.

I thought this would be harder to open than the cheaper brands I could buy locally, but it was actually much easier for my two year old to open the door. I sent them back.

Originally we tried the other covers, the one's in a 4 pack, but they didn't fit over our doorknobs. I guess our doorknobs are slightly larger than average. These do fit and they're easy to use.

These definitly do the trick. Every time we think we are completely "childproofed," our 3 year old lets us know we are NOT. We got some of these after she locked the bathroom door and pulled it shut. Thank God, she was on the outside, not the inside. It took us 45 minutes to get the door open. Even though our bathroom is pretty much childproofed, there is always the sink and toilet to worry about if she had locked herself in there instead of locking all of us OUT. Needless to say, these are now on any and all locking doors in our house. Could have been a very scary outcome. With these, her hands aren't physically big enough to make them work. Another GREAT idea.

This keeps your child inside the house. It's great to take a shower and to know that your little one is safe inside. Be sure to show any caregiver how to turn the doorknob.

This was not what I expected, guess my expectations were too high. It doesn't fit snugly to the door nob, flops all over the place, I can't lock or unlock the door unless I remove it completely.

Love the design of these knob covers. We have several different size knobs throughout our apartment, and the covers seem to only work well on average to small size knobs. Any type of knob that is remotely larger or different might give you problems - be aware. I didn't think there would be any way possible for my toddler to get the cover off either... but he somehow managed to pull, twist and wiggle it, until the latches/hooks let go, and out the door he came. So it is possible.

These door knob locks get the job done! My daughter is 2 1/2 and has asked that I take them off b/c she can't open the door. :) I said, that's the point!

These door knob locks work great. I can open a door with this product much easier than a door with a cheaper product. These door knob locks are easy to grip. I'm using them on all the doors I need.
