Comments about Mommy's Helper Power Strip Safety Cover:
This product does do what it says. It is however very difficult to open and close. This does keep both of my children out of the wires.
This product didn't fit any of the power strips in our home and we have 3 different kinds. I will either send it back or see if anyone I know can use it. This is probably something I should have purchased in person at a store to make sure it would fit.
Used by our computer. He has tried, but failed to mess with the power strip. Easily to install. Like 5 sec.
I had to buy a smaller surge protector in order to use this. Very difficult to clamp the thing shut. When you do shut it very difficult to open! Keep in mind it is cheap plastic.
Great product however not so easy to use if you are frequently unplugging & plugging things in. Difficult to open and close

This product seemed awesome in theory, but turned out to be somewhat of a pain to use. The problem is most power strips these days are made so the plugs are plugged in from the side. They do this to make room for the larger plugs. However, this product ONLY works for the older power plugs where the plugs run down the strip. We really wanted to use these so we went out and purchased all new power strips which ended up being a little more difficult than we thought, but doable.
Instructions are vague. It is tricky to open and close. Once installed it's secure.
This product was very easy to open and once the power strip was inside it was easy for the twins to open both ends. The closures are not suitable for curious fingers as they do not close properly. Very disappointed with this product.
I use this behind our entertainment center, since our 1-year-old likes to squeeze back there and pull on the cords. Despite the flimsy plastic material, he hasn't been able to get to the plugs so far. The cover itself is nothing to look at, but it does what it promises.
This is a good product for an area that needs safety items but without too much traffic. My 1 year old might figure it out if he spent too much time with it. I would buy it again.
Glad to have this, but wish the product was wider b/c my surge protector is wide and didn't fit. I had to buy a new one that I don't like as much, but it will do.
Easy to install; works the way it's supposed to. It has prevented my one-year old from getting to the power cords. My one reservation is that the clipping mechanism doesn't seem that strong; I do wonder if my daughter will at some point be able to take it apart. But I do recommend it.
this is super easy to use but difficult for little hands to try & open.
The Power Strip Safety Cover works just the way it's supposed to, but installing it is a chore. There are 3 snaps to open the device, and I am unable to get them open with my fingers. Once opn, it's easy to install the cover.
I regretted no buying more than one the first time around because these protectors are great! Our little one now can't turn off the powerstrip while I'm working, can't turn off the one for the entertainment center either, and can't stop his sibling from playing all their Xbox games either!!!I was concerned because one of our strips has a bit of a unique shape but the protector is constructed in such a way that it can fit more than one type....
