After reading other reviews, I was skeptical but thought I'd give it a try. I think it works well. The key is not to press to hard on one side or the other. When squeezing to imprint, us your thumb to press in the middle and NOT too much pressure. After a few trials and error on a baby towel, I got he hang of it and started labeling everything.

This labeler was difficult to use from the start. The ink is hard to control, so the impressions are often too faint (if you stamp a second time, you end up with a mess) or too dark (also a mess). After putting the labeler away for a year or so, I pulled it out to use for new school clothes and found the ink has dried up altogether.[...], and there's no way to reach the manufacturer and no way to refill it. A thin Sharpie is a much better use of your money; don't buy this.

I have been using this clothing labeler for 5yrs now. I labeled everything from infant to toddler (blankets, hats & cloths) I stopped using for a few yrs since I'm a stay at home Mom now. Then my son started kindergarten this yr so I started using it again. It still works!!! The only thing I would change is the size. When labeling a jacket you really need to bunch up the fabric to get it to the collar area.

I see what people say about bleeding through on clothing. That does happen with pressing hard, as you would with thicker clothing. I do not use it for those items. You do need to practice first and wait between uses to allow the ink to refresh is helpful. I do store it in the plastic sealable bag it came in, as well. With tagless tshirts less pressure is necessary. This works great on any clothing tags, and on tshirts, shorts, on coat tags and I have even labeled daycare backpacks and lunch boxes. You could label regular material and iron it on or sew it on if you wanted. I think this is much faster and easier. I have bought those iron on name labels and they are so time consuming, cutting, ironing, etc. I am buying a second one now for my grandmother who is in long term care to prevent her clothes from disappearing as well. I love this product!

I bought this because all my son's clothes need labeled for preschool and I was tired of trying to get small print with a sharpy. I was skeptical but it works great. It took me a while to figure out what pressure to use but after I practiced I got it perfect. I does wash off sometimes but then I just do it again.

I was interested in this product because my sister-in-law was giving me all of her daughters clothes and I wanted to be able to give her back her daughters clothes if she has another girl in the future. I originally bought a fabric pen and was putting her initials on each piece of clothing. I saw this product and thought it would make labeling hundreds of pieces of clothing easier. NO!! I tried the labeler on a wash cloth that was the same thickness of the clothes and the first marking was a black square (the area of the ink label) and the second attempt only printed half the name. I tried one last time (before deciding I wasted my money) and the labeler, again, only printed half the name. I stupidly bought 2, I need to label all my daughters clothes for day care and wasted [$]

I love this labeler! Granted, the ink odor is a tad strong, but with a little practice, it works like a charm. With so many infant and toddler clothing going "tagless", it's nice to be able to label my child's clothing and bibs without having to resort to sharpies (which bleed).

This product was a huge disappointment. It bleeds straight through the clothing. I would never recommend it. I sent mine back.

worked really well, i did find that it did bleed thorugh some thinner fabrics.... but the screw loosened up and now it does'nt work at all... need to call and see if i can get it replaced. other than that worked well

I was very excited when This labeler arrived. I had bought it to label my daughters clothes for camp because she lost some of her clothes last year at camp. I used it out on a couple of her
t-shirts and you cannot even read her name. It is all blurred together. It is very hard to use on shirts and shorts, but works well for panties and socks. I would not recommend spending your money on this product.

I thought this would be a great buy, but, it seems to come out too heavy because many brands are now label free. I have since ruined several tee shirts trying to get this thing to work.

The idea sounds great but the product is not. First of all, it's hard to get the "right" amount to stamp on the clothing. If you press lightly, it doesn't do it, but if you press too hard, it bleeds and seeps through to the other side of the clothing. Almost ALL baby/kid's clothes are light colored so you will almost ALWAYS see the name on the front side too. Because the ink is black, it makes the clothes look dirty.

In addition, it stays WET WET WET after you press it onto the clothes. Which is frustrating.

I wish this thing worked better.

I thought that this product was a great idea. I bought one for me and one for my sister. Unfortunately, the ink comes off on my son's back. I though he had a bruise. Most of the time the ink smudges or fades away quickly. It also shows through some fabrics.
It is a great idea, but poorly made.

Other the label with as few characters as possible, because if not, it will look crowded and illegible. Not for use on thin fabrics. Works very well to mark underpants and tshirts but can ruin your socks and other apparel. Not for use on nice clothing because it sometimes bleeds through. Buy iron-on labels for other clothes.
