My 10 month old enjoyed these for a few days, but has since abandoned them with the exception of the bells. He likes put the metal bells in his mouth, so not sure when it will start to rust.

These are great but I think I got them too late, my LO is 13 months and after months of Gymboree and Music Together class (and subsequent musical toy instrument purchases before this), he seems a little "over it." But if we had gotten them earlier or had no other toys, I think this set would have been a hit!

Our 6 month old granddaughter was able to hold each of the 4 instruments, and seemed fascinated with each one. I think the bells and tambourine were a trifle loud for her yet, but she loved the other two right away. I had fun shaking them for her and singing a song along to the rhythm.

The components of this set are made of hard plastic and metal. Our 7 month twins could easily hurt themselves or each other with them. Babies this age typically pick up toys and bang them or wave them around and inadvertently hit themselves or other babies with them. These toys should be made of softer rubber and the metal parts should be encased. They are potentially very dangerous. They should be used in a closely supervised manner or not at all.

I found this when looking for a Christmas present for my 9 month old and thought she would really like it. She opened it up Christmas morning and played with it all day. She just loved that she could make all that noise on her own and that everyone clapped for her. A great find for little ones.

Easy to hold onto for my 7 month old son. Make great instrument sounds. If spit-up get in nooks and cranny's it is difficult to clean, but still worth getting these toys.

Santa was bringing big sister (3 yrs old) a percussion set for Christmas. Baby sister (7 1/2 mths old) wants to be a part of everything big sister has and does. When I saw this baby safe mini orchestra, I thought it would be a perfect toy to bridge the gap. It was nicely packaged, with four different hand held noise makers (no annoying twisty ties to fight with). I opened the mini orchestra for baby sister right in the middle of opening gifts on Christmas morning. It was a huge hit with baby! Baby even took a break from trying to eat wrapping paper. She enjoys the hand held jingle bells alone, or banging two together to make even more noise. I might have a headache, but everyone else is happy.

This is a remarkable toy, that has given our granddaughter more delight than any other toy. And it's wonderfully educational.... cause and effect; sound; rhythm; interaction.

Our 10-month-old loves these four musical instruments, especially the beads. Has good handles that are easy to grasp. Not sure why the clappers on one toy aren't fixed right. Other reviews have noted this as well.

Unfortunately my husband had to fix the clapper toy because the parts were not on the toy in the correct position. After that, everything was great.

My 9 month old loves to shake the instruments (especially the one w/ the little beads in it). The clapper didn't work at first and after examining it closely, I realized the pieces were put on the little bar backwards, so I had to get a screwdriver, take it apart and put them on correctly. Then it worked properly. I don't let him play with the jingle bells unless I'm right beside him (don't want him chewing on them). It's a creative toy, but I think he will enjoy it more when he's a bit older. I was surprised at how flimsy the plastic seemed (for the price).

I absolutely love the mini orchestra as does my 10 month old! We continue to play with the different instruments as he ages... I purchased the set when he was only 6 months old and he still loves all 3 of them. They are reasonably priced and you won't find better quality and safe musical instruments for this agegroup! Great investment for all ages!

I ordered these for my 1 year old daughter and she loves them. She loves to hear the different sounds and she can't break them. I would highly recommend these and watch your child have a ball playing with them. :)

I recently ordered the mini orhcestra for my 8 month old- he absolutely loves them- they are easy to pick up and make a variety of different noises - to keep his interest. You receive four great toys for the price of one!
