If you have just the right snow consistency, this product works GREAT! Very helpful when you have 3 kids and you are the only adult. You can really make a pile of snowballs in seconds. In the product description, they talk about making snowballs that fall apart on contact b/c it is not tightly packed. For me, it depends on the snow. The balls will be perfectly round but if not packed enough, you cannot even throw them. I bought this product and the snowfort mold and we played for 4 hours. Worth every penny to me but both products could be a $1 or 2 cheaper.

I recently bought this and the Snow Fort Mold. They were both great. This one saves time and allows you to make lots of snowballs in a short period of time. My 4yr old and I had a lot of fun having snow ball fights and never a cold hand..:)

I've never been a good snowball maker, but with this gadget, you can't fail! I bought one for my then 2 and a half year old daughter last year and she absolutely loves it. The snowballs are perfect, and also soft so they won't hurt anyone on contact. Now I need to get more so we don't have to take turns using it!

Bought two of these as well as two of the snow block makers. My grandson usually does not like to play in the snow, however, with these I could not ge him to come in. The snowball maker made it very easy for him to make snowballs that he could handle. A side plus, his mittens did not get as wet as they usually do. He enjoyed this more than I have seen him enjoy any winter outdoor toy before. I have arthritis and it made it easy for me to make snowballs and play with him.

Thought this was a great idea but it didn't work to well. I think it could have been because the snow was too powdery. We even had a hard time making snowballs with our hands. Won't give up on them just yet.

We got one of these for a birthday gift and were excited when we had our first big snowstorm. My three boys loved taking turns making a huge pile of snowballs, even the four year old could do it well. It allowed them to make many snowballs in a short period of time, and eventually win the neighborhood snowball fight! Our family highly recommends this product!
