We bought one of these for each of our toilets and they have all worked great. It does get gross, especially with boys but I just soak it in some bleach every now and then and it looks as good as new. We do have to get another one though as my son who is now 3 and doesn't know how to open them broke one while trying to use the toilet. We are still latching them as we have a 13 month old who loves water, especially toilet water! I gave it 4 stars since one broke and it does get gross, but otherwise I will buy again vs spending $20 on a different one.

This worked in keeping our son out of the toilet and also every person who ever visited our house. Every time we had a visitor they would ask each time the went to use the toilet "how do I get into your toilet again?" It did it's job so I gave it three stars but I feel I should warn you that it has a lot of little crevices on the inner portion that goes inside the toilet so it collects a lot of yuck. It was not so easy to clean. I recommend it because the only other one on here didn't fit my toilets and it's better to be safe.

It is really easy to unhook but not for my toddler. My boyfriend was able to install it within five minutes. He didn't have any problems at all. My son tried picking the toilet seat up when it was first installed and there wasn't even space to pinch his fingers. At first I had doubts about the product. But now I know that it really works. I am also glad that I bought it.

This was was too big for our toilet which is only two years old. Even with the spacers it did not work. Also, I could see my son getting this to unlock.

We didn't need this for our first child, but with our second one we couldn't keep him away from the toilet. It works well, easy to install and open. Not sure how it would hold up if you really pulled on it though.

Love how simple but effective this product is. Tons easier to install than everything else out there. I tried 2 other products prior to this one, and had trouble with the toilet seat staying up and ease of installation so returned both and got these for all my toilets. So nice not to have to remove the toilet seat hinge to install these. Took less than 5 minutes to figure out how to install on the first toilet, then could quickly snap on all my other toilets in just a few seconds.

This lock will not allow the lid to be raised all the way up, but fingers can still get in between the lid and seat b/c it allows them to be lifted up some, so smashed fingers are still a possibility, better than drowning in the toilet bowl. Dissappointed, thought it would provide a tight lock for the toilet.

We bought the Lid-Lok's in hopes it would keep our 16 month old son from throwing items in the toilet. We have used them for a month now and he had not been able to lift the lid. It was easy to install and to take off. It is also easy for everyday use. I strongly recommend this product to any parent who's baby has gotten curious about the toilet and wants to play in it. Our son now tries to lift it and when he sees he can't he just walks away. Yea!!
